VitaMineral IV Therapy & Wellness Center started in September of 2021 to help ensure that people in our community are educated about optimal health so that the next wave of pandemics or other illnesses will not take so many lives. My Name is Dr. Mordeana Williams, DNP, FNP, with over two decades of working as a Family Practitioner in various health areas. In the middle of Covid 19 devastation, I was working at the epicenter of the pandemic here in New York. During each shift, I stared death in the face looking at patients of all ages dying of Covid 19, and there was nothing I could do but to provide some form of comfort.
Most of these people walked into the emergency room seemingly healthy except for the symptoms of Covid 19.
Some didn’t have any known diagnosis/major illnesses, and if they had, it was stable. Out of frustration and anxiety, I prayed, hoped, and wished that there was something that I could do. During that time, I was taking high doses of Vitamin C, Zinc, N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC), and Vitamin D, eating healthy, getting adequate sleep, plus hydrating myself.
Doing that daily routine, I managed to avoid getting Covd 19 even though I was working so close to many Covid 19 patients and other staff members.
I realize that by boosting my immune system, I managed to protect myself against Covd 19, Flu, Cold, and possibly many other illnesses, so I decided to open a clinic to promote health and illness prevention; we wanted to help people to re-energize and boost their bodies from the cellular level with the use of Vitamins and Minerals. These elements are necessary for daily recovery from life and lifestyle stressors and to help the body to thrive. One of the main benefits of IV therapy is that it’s quick-acting, and because nutrients are safely delivered directly into the bloodstream, they make a tremendous difference in the way you feel and how well your body responds. How does it work?
The medical expert will help you choose the right mix of vitamins, minerals, and the amount of fluid it requires for each client. The skin is disinfected, and a licensed provider will insert a catheter and then connect the IV line to the bag of IV hydration. Finally, the infusion is started, and the IV line is regularly monitored. This process takes 45 minutes to an hour. Depending on your choice of cocktail, you can actually taste the vitamin within minutes of the start of the infusion. The Vitamin IV infusion may last up to 3 weeks in your system based upon each individual diet, lifestyle (smoking, drinking), and overall health practices.
What are the fluids used?
We consider our company the best IV drip spa in New York City, so we source and offer top essential vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and electrolytes. Our ingredients are usually mixed in normal saline or sterile water, depending on the patient’s needs.
- Normal Saline: We use the most common fluid that is used for hydration, flushing the system, or delivering antibiotics and other important medications in the blood steam
- Electrolytes: Elements and compounds like sodium, potassium, calcium, bicarbonate, magnesium, etc., fall under this category. They are great for regulating nerve and muscle function.
